Couer d'Alene, Idaho

A few days in Spokane.  Many chances to spend money.   Mostly to fix the car door locks but then Alan had the front wheel of his bike stolen, so that too.  Glad to move on.

We came to Couer d'Alene to ride the bike paths and prep physically and mentally for our trip around the Selkirk Loop.  The area has wonderful paths:  The Trail of the Couer d'Alene and also the Centennial Trail (runs from CDA to Spokane and beyond).  We are getting used to level riding with no motorized vehicles around!  The highlights for me have been seeing a bald eagle along the CDA river and a MOUNTAIN LION by the trail!  WOW!

Days are warm but nights are cold....

We expect to leave tomorrow on our bikes from Sandpoint and will take a week to return visiting the cities of:  Bonner's Ferry, Creston, Crawford Bay, Nelson, Ione, and Newport.  Google Selkirk Loop and see details of the route.
