Red Rocks!

Sedona features RED ROCKS!  And hiking trails, energy vortexs, views, upscale tourism, and a bit of everything else.  We had to spend a day hiking -- this is the last of the ROCKS we will experience for a few months.  Gorgeous blue skies, red rocks, and fabulous trails.  I also am sure I got a douse of energy at the airport vortex!

View from Airport Mesa -- feel the vortex?

spring!

Chapel of the Holy Cross -- stands high and sparse in the red rocks.  1,000 foot cross soars out of the rocks.
It took Barry Goldwater to intervene to allow this construction on "Wilderness" land.  In 1956.

REALLY small interior.

Sure looks like a massive asparagus stalk (really a banana yucca bud)

It took us about 1 minute to figure out the geocache was on the TOP of this mesa & no trail exists up.
Wild climb anyone?
