Kansas City

We wandered a few days in southwest Missouri.  No need to go back there!

Landed in Kansas City -- ready for a real town after a few long weeks of seeing rural America.  Kansas City hosts several interesting museums:  American Jazz Museum, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.  All 3 are different, engaging, and allowed us to explore something unique to Kansas City.

Art uplifts society by celebrating beauty.

Alan and Jimmy find Kansas City on the piece entitled:  Silver Missouri

Exquisite Zuni necklace with 600 fetish animals & birds

The Sonata.

Guanyin of the Southern Sea -- a Bodhisatta
This is one of the museum's masterpieces from China, 11th-12th century

Several shuttlecocks dot the museum grounds -- as if to make the museum the net in a game.
