Angkor Archaeological Park

An amazing site.  Not just 1 site really -- at least 45 major ruins are scattered through out the countryside, all of it part of the Angkor Archaeological Park.  I opted for a 3 day pass and decided to do the Grand Tour Circuit one day; the Small Tour Circuit the next; have a rest day and finish up with a day to do whatever is left over.

So today was the Grand Tour Circuit:  Sras Srang (royal pool), Pre Rup (royal crematorium), East Mebon (temple), Ta Som (temple in the jungle), Preah Khan, and Benteay Srey (temple of women).
All built from 900-1200 during the height of the Khmer Empire.  I will save all the fun facts for a post but here are some pictures.

Tomorrow Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom and who knows what else.....
