Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda

Packed with the typical Khmer roofs and ornate gilding, the Royal Palace (including the Silver Pagoda) dominate the river front.  Although this is the Royal Palace parts of the grounds are open and there are many buildings & temples.  It was fun to wander and peek inside -- there were guided tours in many languages -- but photos were restricted inside.  I just enjoy looking at the incredible detail of the constructions and the small touches of flowers and incense sticks and memory bands delicately laid out.

Inside the Silver Pagoda were 100s of Buddha statues in gold and silver.  Also a 2 foot one in jade.
